One of the things that continues to surprise newcomers to Marin County is how dramatically the weather can change over a very short distance.
I was reminded of this recently while hosting an open house at my latest Sausalito listing. The fog rolled in, the wind picked up, and by mid-afternoon it felt cold enough for a jacket. Meanwhile, only a few miles north, friends were enjoying warm sunshine and outdoor dining.
That experience captures one of the realities of living in Marin: our microclimates matter.
