Cinelounge owners in their theater

Tinseltown Comes to Tiburon

August 16, 2022

Tiburon has a new movie theater. Located on Mainstreet in the former Tiburon Playhouse, Cinelounge is bringing the movies back with a modern spin which includes memberships, reserved seating, and Cinelounge Popcorn (you can get your picture on the package). You can choose from the “Spinal Tapas” menu for your favorite bite-sized snacks.

Husband and wife Christian Meoli and Camilla Jackson (actor and journalist respectively) wanted to bring a high-concept theater to Marin County, and created Cinelounge around some of their favorite and memorable movie experiences from their then home Los Angeles. The first three movies to be screened will be “Bullet Train”, “Top Gun: Maverick”, and indie film “Gossamer Folds”.

Cinelounge opened August 12. Aside from it’s premier patron services and memberships, you can also simply show up and buy a ticket for $19.59 and enjoy the amenities Cinelounge has to offer. In our post-pandemic world, where streaming has become the norm, Meoli and Jackson are creating a space to bring back the community of theater, and love of the movies. The theater will also promote art films, and host festivals and special film events, both public and private.

Cinelounge is located at 40 Main St. in Tiburon. For more information, check out www.cineloungefilm.com.
